Heavy Duty 13 x 10 Inch Steel Grate for Wood Stove & Fireplace

Stove and fireplace grates like these lift firewood up off the bottom of the stove to improve airflow to the fire. These heavy duty grates are built to last from 1 x 3/8 inch flat steel bars. Their all-steel construction is designed to outperform their low quality cast-iron counterparts.

PLEASE NOTE - FINISH: This grate ships in its natural raw steel finish with no paint or coating - it is NOT painted black. We discontinued the temporary black coating we once applied to our grates: it was only cosmetic protection for warehousing and shipping, and it was never meant to survive the first few fires. Even high-heat paint burns off quickly in a fireplace, so any coated grate ends up looking like raw steel after the first couple of fires. Our product photos are dark and the steel can look black, but your grate will arrive unpainted, and light surface rust is normal - it burns off in use and is replaced by soot and creosote.
