The construction quality is great. Ember retainer is super sturdy compared to others I’ve seen. Just wish the grate was a little deeper so it would fit my fireplace better. A lot of wasted space behind grate that I would like to use for extra area to put wood.
Maybe 20” deep instead of 14” would do it.
Just a request for my application. Overall I’m happy with my choice. Made in USA as well !

Our SteelFreak fire pit cover is exactly what we needed, something robust enough that we'll be able to drive our snowmobiles over it in the winter (placed upside down during the off season). Plus, Jimmy kindly accommodated our schedule so that the shipment traveled its 900-plus miles to arrive when we were at the lake house. Very pleased with the product and entire experience!
